The Juggernaut 850HP bridges the gap gap between our Juggernaut Jr and the full race version the Juggernaut. After over 20 years of building performance Allison transmissions we know exactly what works best for each and every application. When it comes to knowing the ins and outs of building Allison 1000 and 2000 series transmissions to hold more power and tow better we are at the top of list. You get all of the knowledge we've learned at the race track combined with the millions of miles our transmissions have traveled in hard working trucks all over the country and beyond combined in one build. The Juggernaut 850 Allison 1000 can still handle everything you ask of it a just like the Juggernaut Jr but with increased holding capacity by way of a billet input shaft, billet output shaft, billet c2 hub. This transmission is perfect for the stock engine guys living on the ragged edge and the mildly built motor guys that are making too much power for the Juggernaut Jr. Be sure when comparing 850-900 horsepower builds you know what you are getting. There a many 900HP builds not including a billet input/output and c2 hub (yet they are priced higher). For a 01-10 truck making a true 850-900 horsepower a build not including a a billet input/output and c2 hub is nothing more than a overpriced 750hp build waiting to break a shaft or strip/snap off the c2 hub and planetary snout. 2011 and up output shafts can easily handle 850-900hp as the are considerably larger than pre 2011 models.
Converter choice can be a daunting task but we can spec exactly what you need. If the information below doesn't answer your question don't hesitate to message in the website chat or text/call (714)-870-7300 PLEASE NOTE: Stall is not the amount of RPM the converter takes to begin fluid coupling (transferring power from the engine to the transmission) that’s how the are rated they are rated in the gas world and it confuses many customers. In the diesel world it’s the rpm the truck will stall to before pushing through the brakes when at a stop. Flash stall also comes into play which is the rpm the converter will reach when stabbing the throttle at cruising speeds before fluid coupling efficiency increase. This flash helps to spool the turbo. Generally the looser the stall the more the flash.
Stock turbo and stock turbo/s475 compounds who only tow with no "spirited" driving will want a Goerend DK or a Suncoast 1077. If you do like to play still the Goerend R or DL and Suncoast 1078 will work great and give you a little more RPM to play with. Stock turbo up to 68 mm vvt will want a 1078 or Goerend R or DL even if they tow those converters will work great. All are in the 2100-2300 stall range. 1078 and R converters both have a medium duty pump in the converter (from the larger kodiak trucks) this pump was designed for to be more aggressive at slinging fluid at the turbine to get the bigger heavier trucks moving. Because of this when used in a 3/4 ton truck the fluid coupling is very efficient compared to other torque converters that do not utilize it. Suncoast’s 1077 and the entire 7 series line also utilize this pump as does Goerend’s K converter. Suncoast 1055-2 and Goerend K converters can also work great in this application if someone likes a little looser sportier feel. For large vvt and s300 single chargers/medium compounds Suncoast 1055-2 and Goerend's K converter works great no matter your driving style. The Goerend J is also an option for those wanting more RPM and a sportier feel For large single s400 and larger singles or large compounds Goerends J and AR work great. Goerend has bolt together torque converter options that work out great for the DIY'er wanting to domhis own changes and refreshes Any truck using a Goerend converter making over 800hp will want to use the extreme clutch option Goerend offers. Suncoast converters do not need this option as they are good to go as they come. There will always be special applications and custom stall torque converters are an option contact us if you want something spec'd just for you message us in the website chat or text/call (714)-870-7300
